about

I found myself beholding what can only be described as an enormous sopping wet dark green snail-entangled curtain of seaweed. Slowly the curtain parted to the right and left revealing an enormous four-walled windowless room with a high-domed ceiling. A space filled with myriad species of thriving otherworldy fauna and flora. Everything was dripping with condensation giving the impression of a lush remote Peruvian rainforest at dawn. An all-pervading mist felt warm and moist upon the surface of the “skin” and there was a musty scent in the air resembling that of damp soil and tree bark. What sounded like whispers, long deep drawn out breaths, and the hissing of serpents rolled out through the room like gentle ocean waves splashing upon the surface of the tongue like a mixture of mushroom, lemon, and Syrian rue. There was unmistakable ambiance of primal sexuality that permeated every aspect of the experience. It was somehow possible to maintain the perception of this environment while simultaneously perceiving another that was characterized by a gyrating phantasmagoric kaleidoscope of wet fleshy bodies lustily squirming and penetrating one another in heaps of spiraling orgiastic worm-like primitivism.

At the center of the room was an enormous earthworm-like creature with organic greenish-brown colored skin. The long, thick, moist invertebrate had no notable facial features aside from a large tooth-filled mouth inside of which were nested several other identical looking mouths, each with long, threatening razor sharp teeth like shards of glass isosceles triangles. A most unsettling and abrasive sound, which can only be described as the hybrid of a didgeridoo recording played at half-speed, the stirring of wet noodles inside of a deep iron cauldron, and the ceaseless barking of a suddenly awakened and alarmed pack of loyal guard dogs, discharged insidiously from the mouths of the behemoth. It was an awful wretched sound that penetrated into the very depths of the soul of all who beheld the savage barbaric presence of the beast. Rising from the floor directly in front of the terrifying monstrosity was a small circular marble pool about nine feet in diameter and no more than two or three feet in height from the surface of the floor. It was filled with a dense yellowish-white liquid within which swam an equally bizarre and foreboding black aquatic fish-like creature that was about three feet long and one foot wide at its belly, its thickest section. Slowly it swam around in counter-clockwise circles, disturbing the still of the fluid’s opaque reflective surface. Suddenly, the call of an aramaic owl from some unfathomable distance across the eternally infinite rainforest...
